Following a successful year engaging with students and supporting careers programmes at various levels including those at Canterbury Christchurch University, the Angela Ruskin University in London, St. Columba's Boys School, The Shaw Trust Disability Charity, Folkestone Job Centre, Towers School Ashford and numerous schools in Folkestone (and previously Turner Schools) The Grand is proud to have been shortlisted for the ďInstitute of Hospitality Best Student Placement SchemeĒ award for our work with Schools, Colleges, Universities & people with hidden or visible disabilities.
General Manager Robert Richardson FIH said ďItís always been a privilege for my team and I to work with some incredibly talented careers leaders both locally and further afield in London (culminating in a recent, and highly successful, careers education project led by ourselves working with Harrods, Preferred Hotels and Resorts, Dukes Hotel London and the Dorchester Collection) and to be shortlisted for such a prestigious award is testament to the efforts of The Grand to be the best ambassador for our industry and our district that we can be. Win or lose on the night, itís the journey that brought us here thatís importantĒ.
The Awards take place at The Waldorf Hotel in London in June.
