Built ten years ago to accommodate the anticipated needs and demands of the rapid growth of Hawkinge from a small village on the edge of Folkestone into the Town it is today, the Community Centre is now the accepted heart of the Town. Hawkinge Community centre is literally at the centre of the town, housing within it the Town Council Offices, the Post Office, a Beauty Salon and a Baptist Church.

The building itself is large and spacious and situated on the edge of the village green. Hawkinge Community Centre has a Sports Hall, Community Hall, two committee rooms and a well-equipped kitchen. There are modern well appointed male and female sports changing rooms and baby changing facilities as well as disabled toilets.
