St Saviourís Church is one of 3 churches in the benefice of St. Mary and St. Eanswythe, St. Augustine and St. Saviour, Folkestone.
St. Saviourís stands by Canterbury Road at the heart of the community. The purpose of the church is to support the life of the surrounding neighbourhood through action and worship. We want to do this by making sure St Saviourís Church is a sustainable community asset in East Folkestone able to serve its community and bring about lasting transformation.
Worship is central to our life at St Saviourís and everyone who comes to a service contributes to our worship in some way. Often, just being there is the most important contribution that can be made. People also contribute through helping to lead services, prepare intercessions, sing in the choir, read from the Bible and assist with the worship in other ways. Everyone is welcome to worship at St Saviourís.
Most Sundays we celebrate the Eucharist together. On the first Sunday of the month we have a family service which is a little less formal. We have activities for children at all our services. We have a choir. We have a beautiful building in which to worship God. We also worship God through our home groups and prayer groups.
You can find out more about these by contacting us.
