From 10:00am to 14:00pm
A study day based at Folkestone Museum, looking at the archaeology of death with Lead Osteoarchaeologist Sarah Gearey.
The morning (10am-12pm) consists of an intense, lab-style session in which Gearey demonstrates how she came to her conclusions regarding the Museum’s resident Anglo-Saxon skeleton ‘Aefre’. The afternoon session offers more hands-on, show-and-tell activities around animal bones, and Anglo-Saxon burials.
